Privacy policy
Viva Fitness · Last updated 18 September 2026
The short version. Viva Fitness has no accounts and no sign-in. Your workout history, streak, plan and settings are stored on your iPhone or iPad and nowhere else — we have no server and cannot see them.
The app sends anonymous usage statistics so we can see which sessions people actually use. You can switch that off in Settings. Apple and RevenueCat handle the one-time purchase.
We do not sell data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Who we are
Viva Fitness is published by Oliver Momeni, trading as Loony Studio. In this policy that is “we”, “us” and “our”. We are the data controller for the limited processing described below.
You can reach us at support@loonystudio.com.
What stays on your device
Everything the app knows about you is held in the app’s own storage on your device:
- your onboarding answers — level, goal, days per week, usual time of day
- your practice days, reminder setting and reminder time
- your completed sessions, minutes danced, tracks danced, streak and 14-Day Kickstart progress
- your last built Party, and whether you have dismissed the health notice
- any videos you choose to download for offline use
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. There is no account to create and no server holding a copy. Deleting the app deletes all of it. If you back your device up to iCloud or a computer, that backup may include the app’s data; those backups are controlled by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy.
Anonymous usage data — and how to switch it off
The app records a small number of anonymous events so we can see how the app is used and what to improve. Examples: an onboarding question was answered, a session was started, a session was completed and how long it lasted, the unlock screen was shown, a purchase succeeded or failed, reminders were switched on.
These events carry no name, no email address, no phone number, no advertising identifier and no precise location. Each install is given a random identifier by the analytics tool so that separate events from one install can be counted as one person’s use of the app. That identifier is not connected to you, to your Apple ID, or to any other app.
To switch it off
Open Viva Fitness, tap Settings, and turn off Share anonymous usage data. Collection stops immediately. It is on by default.
Our analytics tool is PostHog, and we use its European cloud, so these events are stored on servers in the European Union. PostHog acts as our data processor. Session replay is switched off, so no recording of your screen is ever made. PostHog’s own policy is at posthog.com/privacy.
Our lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in understanding how the app is used and improving it, balanced against the very limited and non-identifying nature of the data, and subject to the switch above.
We keep these events for a maximum of 12 months.
The one-time purchase
Viva Fitness offers one non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks all the content. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
Apple takes the payment. We never see your card details, your billing address or your Apple ID. Apple’s handling of that is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) checks the App Store receipt for us and tells the app whether the unlock is active, including when you tap “Restore purchases” on a new device. RevenueCat receives a random app user identifier created on your device, the App Store transaction and receipt information, and basic technical details such as device model, operating system version and country. It does not receive your name or email address. Because RevenueCat is outside the European Economic Area, that transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. RevenueCat’s policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Our lawful basis here is performance of our contract with you — without it we cannot deliver or restore what you paid for. We keep purchase records for as long as the app is published, so that restores and support requests keep working.
Streaming the videos
The dance videos are streamed from Cloudflare’s network at media.loonystudio.com. When your device requests a video, Cloudflare processes your IP address and standard request information in order to deliver the file and to protect the service from abuse. Cloudflare acts as our processor. Its policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
If you use Download all videos in Settings, the videos are stored on your device and later sessions play without any connection at all.
Reminders
If you turn reminders on, the notifications are scheduled by your own device. There is no push server, and no token or device identifier is sent to us. Turning reminders off in Settings cancels them.
What we never do
- No advertising, and no advertising identifier (IDFA). The app never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it does not track you.
- No selling or sharing of personal data, ever.
- No access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar, Apple Health or motion data.
- No profile combining your activity with any other app or website.
- No email address collected, unless you choose to write to us.
If you write to us
If you email support@loonystudio.com, we hold your message and your email address for as long as it takes to deal with it, and for up to 12 months afterwards in case you write again about the same thing. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering support requests.
Children
Viva Fitness is a general-audience fitness app and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, children included.
Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability.
In practice we hold almost nothing that could identify you, so in most cases we genuinely cannot find “your” data in order to act on such a request — the anonymous events cannot be traced back to a person. What you can do directly, at any time and without asking us:
- turn off Share anonymous usage data in Settings, which stops all collection
- use Reset all progress in Settings, which erases your history on the device
- delete the app, which removes everything held locally
For anything else, write to support@loonystudio.com and we will help as far as we are able. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. Our supervisory authority is the Spanish data protection agency, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything significant is mentioned in the app’s App Store release notes.
